Project Description

Construction of a major river crossing across the Forth Estuary comprising the longest three tower cable stayed bridge in the world. The towers are 210m high, with main span of 650m.

Our Role in the Project

Designer’s Site Representative for the main crossing marine and superstructure works including the construction of land and marine foundations, precast operations, launching of 13000T North and South Approaches and the erection of the cable stayed superstructure.

Outcomes

The Queensferry Crossing was completed in 2017 and is the longest triple tower cable-stayed bridge in the world, and the highest bridge in the United Kingdom.

The completed towers stand at 207 metres, making it the UK’s tallest bridge.
